  7. did u generating 2D texture with glowing circles and after convert this texture to 3d? or u use marching cubes alogrithm? 🙂

    There r 2 base techniques.

    1) 2D metaballs rendering as 3D (article, overview technique):

    2) More impressive technique is based on marching cubes algorithm (MCA). MCA use to build polygonal approximation of isusurface of scalar vector field.

    • Thanks Alexander, those are the two main techniques! Which I’ve been using in my earlier blob-demos as well.

      In case of this, the movement of the smaller blob is like in , maybe mathematically not as advanced as in that link … I’ll publish the code any time soon, as I get it commented etc …
